Chipchik.com offers an extremely affordable web-based promotional service to eating Establishments serving local communities. Potential customers see promotions, web sites, menus and reviews in their local area in an extremely easy to navigate graphical presentation.
Establishments who subscribe to the Chipchik Premium Services are able to create, schedule and manage their promotional activities that target the local community. These listings are giving listing prominence and are presented on a separate “Current Promotions” page. Users will benefit from having a single website that lists eating options in their immediate area. Establishments will benefit from increased revenue.
The monthly subscription fee for Establishments to use the Chipchik Premium Service is just US $20 - a tiny fraction of the cost incurred to use traditional promotion techniques such as newspaper, mailing and food trade promotions. As one owner of a national chain of restaurants said, “Chipchik offers a compelling cost-benefit opportunity.” The price of Chipchik Premium Services is the same worldwide.
The commission that
can be generated for each Establishment you sign up to use Chipchik’s
Premium Service is US $12 for the first month the Establishment uses the
service and US $6 for each month thereafter. All commission values are
in US Dollars.
Job Description
As an Independent
Contractor you will be able to work hours that suit your schedule to
sell the Chipchik Premium service to local eating Establishments.
Businesses will register to use the Chipchik Premium service by using
your personal promotion code (which you will be provided). This code
will generate for you both an initial sign up bonus payment plus a
potential ongoing monthly income for as long as that business utilizes
the Chipchik Premium service.
To ensure that
Establishments realize the revenue increasing opportunities offered by
Chipchik Premium service you will also promote the use of Chipchik.com
to your community.
It is in your
interest and also in Chipchik’s that we find individuals compatible with
the Chipchik goal of providing a high quality service.
1. If you are interested in becoming an Independent Contractor for Chipchik sales and promotions in your community, the following process will be initiated:
2. Please complete the online application at www.chipchik.com/independentcontractor.html Please provide a current telephone number, mailing address, and indicate the best time to contact you.
3. If opportunities are available in your area you will be advised. Chipchik is committing to pay you US $10 per hour for up to 6 hours of work (a total of US $60) as described below. As an Independent Contractor, you are not an employee of Chipchik. You will be responsible for any taxes due on any income earned from Chipchik.
4. Chipchik will deliver 40 promotional fliers to you via regular mail. This package will also include instructions on how to proceed through the steps outlined below.
5. You will be given access to on-line recorded training material used to highlight the major benefits of the Chipchik service. This material will also present a number of key items for your use when promoting the service. The estimated time required to review the on line material is 1 hour. You will earn $10 for the time spent reviewing the promotional material.
You will select 20 Establishments from a list of available businesses in your area. You can print out an introductory sheet customized to each Establishment you intend to visit.
6. You will visit each Establishment and introduce the Chipchik service to the management. During the visit you will explain the benefits of the Chipchik service and leave the printed promotional flyers (point 3 above) as well as the customized introductory sheet (point 5 above). You will obtain a business card or similar identifying material as proof that you did indeed visit each Establishment you selected. Ideally you will also secure a contact name, title and e-mail address for your point of contact for each Establishment.
Chipchik will assume that you allocate up to 15 minutes to each Establishment selected. Thus Chipchik is allowing a total of 5 hours for twenty 15-minute visits.
We are aware that you may simply walk in and drop off the materials and pick up a business card, however it is unlikely that such a visit will result in an Establishment registering to use the Chipchik service. Therefore you will not benefit from any long-term income opportunities through Chipchik.
7. You will scan or photograph the identifying material picked up at each Establishment and e-mail to Chipchik. You will also enter the information obtained into our on-line database. Chipchik will support your initial contact by sending standard e-mails to encourage the Establishment to use the service and to utilize your personal promotional code.
8. Upon receipt of your documented proof of Establishment visits, Chipchik will send a check made out to you for the full amount earned within 15 days. If all 20 visits were made and documented you would receive US $60. If less than the selected 20 Establishments were visited, payment will be prorated as follows : US $10 + (US $2.50 x n) where n is the number of Establishments visited.
9. If an Establishment registers to use the Chipchik Premium service within 30 days of your visit using your personal promotion code, and pays US $20 for the first month’s service, you will receive a Sign Up bonus of US $12. Chipchik reserves the right to change the Sign Up bonus value paid to you at any time. If a change is made you will be notified via email and the new values will be posted on the Site. It is your responsibility to know the rate. It is your responsibility to keep Chipchik informed of any bank account or e-mail changes you may make.
10. If less than 5 of the Establishments visited sign up to use Chipchik Premium Service using your personal promotion code within 30 days, Chipchik will pay you US $12 for each Establishment that signs up. However, Chipchik will discontinue your Independent Contractor relationship. No additional payments will be made under any circumstances. As an Independent Contractor, you are not an employee of Chipchik. You will be responsible for any taxes due on income earned from Chipchik.
1. If 5 or more Establishments from those visited register to use the Chipchik Premium Service using your personal promotion code within 30 days, you will be given the opportunity to continue as a Chipchik Independent Contractor. You will be asked to provide your bank account details and your social security number. If you earn more than US $600 in a calendar year you will receive a Form 1099 from Chipchik in order to report your income to the IRS. As an Independent Contractor, you are not an employee of Chipchik. You will be responsible for any taxes due on income earned from Chipchik.
Any future payments will be directly deposited to your provided bank account. These payments will be deposited bi-monthly. Details of all payments made will be available for review on-line. You will also be advised by e-mail when each payment is deposited into your account.
It is your
responsibility to keep Chipchik informed of any bank account or e-mail
changes you may make.
If you
continue as a Chipchik Independent Contractor by providing your social
security number and banking details, you will earn a commission of US $6
per Establishment that signed up using your personal promotion code for
each consecutive month that they continue to use Chipchik Premium
services. Chipchik reserves the right to change the ongoing commission
rate paid to you at any time. If a change is made you will be notified
via email and the new values will be posted on the Site. It is your
responsibility to know the rate. It is your responsibility to keep
Chipchik informed of any bank account or e-mail changes you may make.
This payment schedule is equivalent
to 30% commission on the monthly basic Chipchik Premium service charge.
The ongoing commission is structured to encourage you to promote the
Chipchik service to your community and will ensure that the
Establishments see a return on their investment.
You may use
any remaining promotional flyers to visit more Establishments in your
area. Chipchik will provide additional materials as requested to enable
you to pursue any number of additional Establishments in your area.
2. If any additional Establishments register to use the Chipchik Premium Service using your personal promotion code as a result of your visits, you will earn commissions as described above (i.e. US $12 upon the first month’s payment and a flat US $6 per month for all consecutive month’s payments). Chipchik reserves the right to change the Sign Up bonus value paid to you at any time. If a change is made you will be notified via email and the new values will be posted on the Site. It is your responsibility to know the rate. As an Independent Contractor, you are not an employee of Chipchik. You will be responsible for any taxes due on any income earned from Chipchik.
3. As long as Chipchik remains in business, Chipchik will make commission payments to you if you continue to sign up a minimum of 12 additional Premium service accounts per calendar year. If you fail to sign up a minimum of 12 additional Premium Service accounts you will no longer receive any commission payments. As an Independent Contractor, you are not an employee of Chipchik. You will be responsible for any taxes due on any income earned from Chipchik.
4. The preceding discussion covered primarily the development of your income. Establishments will be dependent upon their offers being seen and acted upon by their potential customers in order to increase their revenue. Chipchik will at its discretion provide you with additional materials:
a. To
distribute to your Chipchik Premium Establishments in order to inform
their customers of their participation in the Chipchik website or;
b. To promote
Chipchik within the community.
